Many years ago Baccarat may have been a game for the aristocrats but today it is played by the common man and woman in every casino and online casino on the planet.

The games popularity is partially due to the fact that the game is very easy to play, but most people seem to feel that the games popularity is because of the older James Bond movies where he would stroll into the casino and with such grace and confidence would always win the game and the girl.

But even if you do not get the girl this is an exciting game. Baccarat is a spectator game much like craps. 2 players play cards and spectators can bet on the outcome of the game

The bets in baccarat are very simple, you can bet on the bank to win, the player to win or for the bank and the player to tie.

The game is very similar to blackjack. The game is started with the bank dealing 2 cards to the player and 2 for himself, and just like in blackjack you may now take another card, but unlike in Blackjack in Baccarat you may only take 1 card. The cards are now turned over and a winner is declared. Because the banker has the house advantage a rake is taken from the bankers winnings.
