What Is Makccarat?

Makccarat rhymes with Baccarat.  It rhymes with Baccarat, because it is a customized version of Baccarat.

Makccarat is a highly customized version of baccarat. The game is played with 6 standard deck of cards. The players will be betting on which hand will win, they bet on the player winning, the banker winning or the game ending in a tie.

The value of the cards is similar to the baccarat game. All the cards from ace through 9 are worth their face value and all the 10s and the face cards are valued 10. The hand value is arrived by summing up the two cards; however, the value of the number in the ones place is eliminated and only the number in the tens place is taken to consider the value.  Example, if 10 is the total; the value of the hand is zero!  The number in the ones place is not considered at all, only the number in the tens place is taken.  The highest winnable value is 9 and it is called a natural win. The second best possible hand is 8.

• The banker and the player are dealt with two cards respectively.
• The two card values are totaled.
• If either the banker or the player has a 9 then the natural win is declared.
• If either of them do not have a natural, then a draw takes place.
• The person with the lowest hand value will take a card and the hands are totaled and evaluated.  If the score is still not high enough to beat the opponent’s hand then the opponent is declared as the winner.
• If after the draw, the hand value is more than the opponent, then the opponent also draws an additional card. The hand values are then compared after each of them gets a chance to draw and the dealer declares the winner.

For instance, the player has ace and queen which gives him the hand of 1. The banker has 4 and 2 which totals to 6. Since neither of them have a natural win, the dealer allows the player to draw an additional card. The additional card turns out to be 4. The player could not beat the dealer even with an additional card and hence the banker wins the game.

But if the player gets 6 and it sums up to 7, then the banker draws an additional card. Based upon the final card the dealer compares the cards and declares the winner. The players who have bet on the banker or player will be rewarded based on the outcome. There is no number specificity about the number total for the draw it is based on a comparative high and low.
