How To Play Blackjack
- Players make their bets.
- 2 face down cards are dealt to the player.
- The dealer will get face down and face up cards.
- The player will look in to the open card of the dealer and he will hit or stand based on the probabilities of beating the dealer’s hand comparing his own card values.
- After the players have made their hit or stand decisions and have completed their play, the dealer draws the cards.
- If the 2 cards of the dealer have a hard total he will stand, and if he has a total less than 16 he will hit.
- After the dealer completes the draw the hands are compared and the payouts are made.
The goal of the players playing blackjack is to beat the dealer’s hand. The players play against the dealer and not versus other players. If the player has a value of 21, close to 21 or just better than the dealer’s hand without going over a total of 21, then the player will win.
- If the player has a value more than 21, he busts and the dealer will win without drawing any further or turning the cards.
- Hands with a total less than the dealer will loose.
- In cases of the “tie” or “push” where the player and the dealer have the same value, the dealer always wins.
