Craps House Edge

  The house edge for craps matters to the casino like in any other game.

Craps house edge refers to the basic revenues in terms of percentage per dollar bet required by the house to make their share of income from the bets made by the craps players.  There are a number of betting variants in craps games.  Some of the bets are resolved in a single roll with a natural win, while some of them will be resolved after a series of point bets and some bets like proposition bets will be made on each roll based on what comes next.  The house will take its percentage for each bet made thus.

  • Field (3:1 on 12) provides 2.78%
  • Any Craps provides 11.11%
  • Big 6,8 provides 9.09%
  • Hard 4,10 provides 11.11%
  • Hard 6,8 provides 9.09%
  • Place (to win) 6,8 provides 1.52%
  • Place (to win) 5,9 provides 4.00%
  • Place (to Win) 4,10 provides 6.67%
  • Place (to lose) 6,8 provides 1.82%
  • Place (to lose) 5,9 provides 2.50%
  • Place (to lose) 4, provides 10 3.03%
