Craps House Edge
The house edge for craps matters to the casino like in any other game.
Craps house edge refers to the basic revenues in terms of percentage per dollar bet required by the house to make their share of income from the bets made by the craps players. There are a number of betting variants in craps games. Some of the bets are resolved in a single roll with a natural win, while some of them will be resolved after a series of point bets and some bets like proposition bets will be made on each roll based on what comes next. The house will take its percentage for each bet made thus.
In a way to maintain transparency, the house edge per bet will be declared to the players. Almost every player in craps will be making the Pass Line Bet eventually contributing to the house edge for the bet’s share made.
The Pass Line Bet provides with a house edge of only 1.41% or a bit more or less between casinos and this edge is pretty good for the house, not because it is very high, but because it will add up to a huge sum as every player in craps will make this bet. Beating the house in craps is never going to happen, the house will by all means get its share; however, you can train yourself to be an advantage player.
