Notably a bill to work towards legalizing the online casino industry was passed in the House of Representatives in May which when authorized would legally permit online casino businesses to accept wagers from the US companies.
It is expected that Nevada would be the right choice to serve as the American Jurisdiction that would legalize the online gambling proceeds in the US. Nevada can serve to host licensed internet online casinos and they can verify and license the various businesses applying to run an online casino business.
It is seen that if the online sites were to be hosted and licensed in Nevada, they will be required to pay some upfront fee as proposed by the commission. The online sites that are licensed in Nevada will be taxed at par with the casino businesses in the strip at 6.75% on their gaming revenues.
However, if all this should happen the decision should be approved from Washington D.C. It is seen that the government is keen about several other proceeds of the state like the health care system and in dealing with the economic crisis. It is seen that regulating internet casinos is not of the primary priorities of the government. It is sensed that regulation might take years to become a fruitful one.
Several attempts are being made to legalize gambling and several structured bills sponsored for this process were left dormant in the Federal Level. However, the support level is increasing for the legalization request of the online casinos; it might be fruitful soon with mass pressure.
