With casinos all over the USA losing money some of the St Louis casinos have actually made a profit

When compared to the revenues of April 2008, the revenues are up by 1% in April 2009 in the St. Louis area casinos.  The revenues totaled up to $86 million in April 2009 when compared to the $85.1 million in April 2008.

The 1% increase cannot be overlooked and considered as not-so-important, because this has happened when the whole of the global economy is sinking.  This in turn has to say that the marketing strategy of the St. Louis area casinos definitely has something good going on.

The financial information of the casinos was put forth by the Missouri Gaming Commission and the Illinois Gaming Board.

The Pinnacle Entertainment owns Lumiere Palace and they were great performers in April and their revenues increased by 23% up from $13.1 million to $16.1 million.

The president of the Pinnacle Entertainment; however, did witness a 24% decline in the past month, the exact numbers are $2 million from $2.6 million April 2008.
Maryland Heights owned by the Harrah’s reported a revenue hike of 3% in April at $23.8 million.  It was $23 million in April 2008.

Ameristar located in St. Charles reported gambling figures of $24.9 million in April 2009, which is almost at par to April, 2008 at $25 million.
Argosy Alton projected a discouraging $7.4 million in April 2009, which is 7% less than the reported $8 million in April 2008.

The Casino Queen at the East St. Louis witnessed a decline in revenues by 12%. When compared to the past year.
